What are the Best Brands of Radio Control Cars? The best radio controlled cars are made by companies such as Team Associated, HPI Racing, Kyosho, Team Losi, Mugen, OFNA, Tamiya, Traxxas, Schumacher, Serpent, and Yokomo.

Nikko is a popular brand, but they are more of the "toy" quality cars as compared to hobby quality model kits. However, if you are just getting started or would like to buy a radio controlled car for young people, then Nikko is one of the best brands you can buy.

But if it is the fast hobby quality rc cars you are looking for, then buy brands such as Associated, HPI, Kyosho, Tamiya, and Traxxas.

The Cheapest Radio Control Cars Money Can Buy!Radio control cars are relatively cheap. Ready to run kits such as the HPI Dash can be bought for less than $100.

However, for the best value for your money, I recommend 1/10th scale touring electric powered radio control cars that are run on asphalt tracks or parking lots. Some of the best buys are the HPI Sprint RTR or the Associated TC3 RTR.

If you do not have much space, try the smaller 1/18th scale touring cars such as the HPI Micro HPI Micro RS4 electric powered radio control car.

There are also gas powered or nitro powered radio control cars such as the Associated Nitro TC3. These cars are powered by 2-stroke gas or nitro engines, have tuned pipes, 4 wheel drive transmissions, and single or two-speed automatic transmission.

How Fast Can a Radio Control Car Go?Electric powered radio control cars such as the HPI Dash would reach 12 - 15 miles per hour, while the HPI Sprint RTR would go 23 mph out of the box. You can modify these electric cars by adding modified motors, batteries, speed controllers, etc. to push the speeds in excess of 35 mph.

Gas powered radio control cars such as the Associated Nitro TC3 would go 30 mph out of the box. Two-speed transmission models would go 40 mph, and modified nitro engines and tuned pipes would push the cars past 50 mph. King are the 1/8th scale, three-speed transmission on-road radio controlled gas cars that can push 70 mph.

Where Can I Buy Radio Control Cars? You can buy radio control cars for sale from your local hobby shop or buy conveniently online. There are also online discount coupons that offer 5% discounts or more when you buy online.
